Beeville, Texas - Bee County

BEEVILLE, TEXAS

Beeville, Texas is the county seat of Bee County. It was originally named Maryville for Mary Hefferman, who was the only survivor of a family massacred by Indians in 1853. Beeville is on the Poesta Creek and was renamed Beeville on the Poesta in 1860.
